Fishing Camp (offering two sessions)
Session 1: Intermediate Campers (2nd-5th grade)
Session 2: For Junior/ Senior Campers (6th grade- age 17)
Genesee Valley’s Fishing Camp includes the usual favorites like swimming and ropes course elements, but with many more opportunities to hook into some serious bucketmouths! We’ll learn the art and science of lake and pond fishing while discovering fun facts about fish and exploring their habitats. Fishing campers will experience this serene sport in our lakes and ponds as well as traveling offsite one day out of the week. No experience necessary. Transportation to our offsite will be provided. Bring your own fishing pole.
Archery Camp (Juniors + Seniors)
Grade 6- age 17
Campers will spend3 days learning and perfecting their skills on our archery field. Archery games, lessons, and activities will keep campers engaged in this traditional sport. No previous experience necessary. All archery lessons and activities will be lead by a certified archery instructor. All equipment is provided although archers are welcome to bring their own bow (each bow must be an appropriate size for the camper and be inspected by our instructor.)
Adventure Camp (offering two sessions)
Session 1: Grade 7- age 17
Adventure campers will experience several exciting adventure based activities throughout the week such as rock climbing, hiking, and tubing down the Shenandoah River. The group will camp at Greenbrier State Park and will venture out each day for their activity. The group will hike some of the famous Appalachian Trail, rock climb and rappel off the beautiful white cliffs at Annapolis Rocks, and will go tubing past Harper’s Ferry on the Shenandoah River. The Genesee Valley staff member holds a Wilderness First Responder Certification.
Adventure Camp for Intermediate and Junior campers will be a day camp program that will explore the adventure activities on the property such as our high ropes course activities as well as venturing offsite to enjoy rock climbing and hiking around the area!
Session 2: Grade 6- age 17
Session 2 of Adventure Camp is a day camp program that will explore the adventure activities on the property such as our high ropes course activities as well as venturing offsite to enjoy rock climbing and hiking around the area! This is a great camp for those who want to explore adventure activities without committing to a week of offsite camping.
Art Camp (Intermediate – Seniors)
Grade 4- age 17
Campers will explore their inner artist this week by experimenting with several different mediums such as clay , acrylic paint on canvas, collage, printmaking, and so much more! Art camp is lead by a talented art counselor who is passionate about teaching art as well as helping each artists find their unique voice. Art projects will be completed in our art building, on different sites around our property, and one day will be taken offsite. No experience necessary and all materials will be provided!
Water Camp (Youth + Intermediate)
This week of camp is all about having tons of fun in the water! Water campers will swim in our lakes, play water games, enjoy our zip n’ dips, canoe, and so much more! One day during the week, water campers will have an awesome day tubing down the gunpowder river. This camp week is lead by a an enthusiastic and experienced life guard!
