Adventure therapy uses experiential activities for personal growth and healing at Genesee Valley Outdoor Learning Center. Activities like rock climbing, nature exploration, and team-building help individuals step out of their comfort zones and develop skills. It's suitable for individuals, families, and groups to build confidence and improve relationships. The facilitation connects the activities with therapy goals, adaptable for various ages and abilities.

CAAMP- Spring and Summer Program

Looking for an outdoor program for your child led by licensed mental health therapists? Our experienced therapists prioritize emotional & mental well-being in our CAAMP programs. Our unique program offers fun activities that promote socialization, creativity, and outdoor fun while combining adventure and mindful play. We aim to help your child develop important life skills such as communication, problem-solving & emotional regulation in a safe and inclusive environment.

It all started when…

Sara LaMonica persued her life passion to support others during challenging times in life by becoming a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of MD and PA. Sara has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in the individual, family, and group settings. Whether in the office, hiking the trails, rock climbing, or engaging in problem-solving activities, Sara creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their inner selves and build resilience. When available and beneficial, she combines the power of nature with evidence-based therapeutic techniques. She aims to help her clients develop the skills and confidence they need to thrive in all areas of their lives.
