Any early pick coordination made after 12:00pm are not guaranteed. All authorized persons picking up a camper will need to come to the office to sign that child out.

Any adult who picks up a camper must be included on that camper's "Authorized pick up" list. Parents can add authorized adults through the camper registration. A parent can also send in a handwritten note or email (camp@geneseevalley.org) with the authorized person's name if someone needs to be added last minute.

  • We are rain or shine! Staff are trained to continue programming in indoor spaces during inclement weather. In the event of thunderstorms or severe weather, all campers and staff are to gather in the nearest 4 walled building on property. Campers and staff will stay in until the Office staff make the call that the weather has passed.

RAIN DAY CHECK OUTS: campers and staff are located in the various 4 walled buildings on the main side of property. Support staff will assist with pick up. Carpool style.

  • If your desired camp week is “full”, you can add your child’s name to the wait list. You will receive a confirmation email that your child is on the wait-list. We contact parents on the wait list in the order in which they register, allowing 24 hours to accept the availability.

No requests will be honored if not done when registering or in writing at least three weeks before the scheduled camp starting date.

  • Genesee Valley Summer Camp is proudly accredited by The American Camp Association. ACA establishes a series of standards and practices in which we follow to ensure a quality program. ACA runs inspections of our camp policies and facility to ensure we are meeting these standards. This is a voluntary accreditation process that Genesee Valley chooses to be part of.

Safety is our #1 priority. Our outdoor adventure activities have the potential for risk, so we strive to provide our staff with the knowledge, tools, and resources they need to keep campers safe during their time at camp.

Our philosophy is prevention, which we pursue through organizing and planning strong programs. In the event of any injury, staff are trained in CPR/First Aid and will seek external medical assistance if necessary.

We take camper safety seriously. Please read how we can work together to keep your campers cool in the heat and how to be tick aware at camp.
